Where the Wildcats Run  We had an amazing Fun Run on Friday! All the students worked so hard and had a great time on the field running and walking laps with their friends and teachers. Be sure to follow our Facebook page as we will post some pictures from the day. They ran an impressive amount of laps and we are so proud of our Wildcat students! Total Laps Run: 5,298 Total Miles Run: 1,059.6 Average Laps per Student: 10.64 Average Miles per Student: 2.13 ALL donations are due MONDAY, September 23rd in order to count for class and individual prizes. Parents and family members can donate with a flat donation, pay per lap, or a combination of both! Donations can be made by cash or check using the envelopes sent home in the fun run packet or online using the link below. If your student didn’t bring home their run bib from Friday and you would like to know how many laps they ran, or if you have questions about donations, please email us. WME PTO – Fun Run is Tomorrow!

Our Where the Wildcats Run Fun Run is tomorrow! Please send your child to school tomorrow with: comfortable running/walking clothes tennis shoes a full LABELED water bottle sunscreen on sunglasses or hat (if they would like) Each grade will have an hour time slot on the field. The first 5 minutes will be instructions, then they will run/walk for 30 minutes and finish up with Kona Ice while we record the number of laps for each student. The schedule for the day is: 9:15 am – 10:15 am – Kindergarten 10:00 am – 11:00 am – 4th Grade 10:45 am – 11:45 am – 3rd Grade 11:30 am – 12:30 pm – 5th Grade 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm – 2nd Grade 1:15 pm – 2:15 pm – 1st Grade Parents are welcome and encouraged to come cheer on or run with their student(s) during the day. Where the Wildcats Run Fun Run Our 5th annual Where the Wildcats Run Fun Run is this Friday, September 13th! Packets with donation envelopes went home last week. 100% of the money raised goes directly into our school and classrooms thanks to our amazing sponsors. We will be running “Meet Our Sponsors” blasts over the next two weeks so you can read about each one and how they are connected to WME. Fun Run Schedule and Volunteers WME PTO is busy gearing up for our 5th annual Where the Wildcats Run Fun Run on Friday, September 13th! Look for more information to go home in the fun run packets this Friday. Each grade will have about an hour on the field. The first 5 minutes will be instructions, then they will run/walk for 30 minutes (this is decreased by 20 minutes from last year!) and finish up at the Kona Ice truck where each student will get to make their own treat! Kona Ice will also be selling their shaved ice to parents and siblings, so be sure to bring cash or a credit card if you’d like one! Now that the school year is officially underway and we are all settling in, WME PTO wanted to share and remind you of ways you can help raise money for our school without spending any extra money yourself! Our largest fundraiser, Where the Wildcats Run Fun Run, is coming up and we raise the majority of our funds for the school year during that, but there are also other vital fundraisers we use and need to provide the school with everything our kids and teachers desire.
