All for Books

Dig in the couch, pick up all those spare coins on your dresser and send them to school this week! Teachers will be collecting loose change and dollars in their classrooms until Wednesday, November 15th to support All for Books. You may also make a donation when you check out at the book fair. Scholastic will match monetary contributions with a donation in books from the Scholastic Possible Fund, which distributes books to children in need. Our top donating class will receive and be able to display our new WME Pride Paw award for their generosity! We thank you in advance and look forward to giving back to our community!

Used Book Drive

As part of Book Fair week and as you buy new books for your children to read, clean out your old books and bring them to WME to donate! We will let our wonderful librarian, Mrs. Stickel, go through them first, then donate the rest.

Apple Award Nominations

Nominate an exceptional WME teacher or staff member (or both!) who is making a difference in your child’s life. It’s so simple and easy! Nominations are being accepted now through December 22nd using the link below. Let’s show our outstanding WME teachers the love! Apple Award Nominations

Box Tops

We mailed in about $450 worth of Box Tops last week! Keep clipping those Box Tops. Every one makes a big difference. We will get the prizes out soon. Visiting friends or family for the holidays? Ask them to save some Box Tops to donate to our school! May seem silly, but if each family could add 5 or 10 Box Tops to their collection we’d earn a ton of money! And it’s so simple. Want a new sheet to remind you to save Box Tops? Get one here. You can use either a baggie or a sheet printed from link above to send them in to school. Please don’t forget to add your STUDENT’S NAME AND TEACHER’S NAME. This round, Box Tops will be due January 16th for prizes.

Recycle Your Gallon Plastic Jugs

If you have gallon sized plastic jugs to recycle, please bring them to school and place them in the collection box in the front hallway. A former WME parent would like to use them to make luminaries to sell for Christmas and she will donate all the proceeds back to WME teachers! Make sure to please rinse them with hot soapy water before bringing them in. Thank you!

King Soopers Cards

Please remember to keep reloading your King Soopers cards. Every time you reload it, WME receives 5% of that amount! If you need a new card or would like to start participating in this program, you may purchase a $5 card in the school office. If you have any questions please contact Krista Finney .

Marquee Celebrations

WME would like to help you celebrate special moments with your child by offering a personalized slide on our WME outdoor marquee. For one day, a message to your child will be posted for all to see! This unique celebration is $20. If you have any questions, please contact Whitney Nallathamby.
