Halloween Celebration Reminder

WME will be celebrating Halloween tomorrow with the annual Halloween parade starting at 9:15 am. All classes will participate. Students can wear their costumes to school in the morning. The school has asked that students not wear gory or scary costumes, and NO weapons are allowed. Parents are invited and welcome to come watch the parade in the front of the school or the gym. Please keep the hallways and pods clear for students. This is a fun WME tradition! Halloween class parties will start after the parade and parents are welcome to come and have fun and help! Students will change out of their costumes after the parties so please send them with a change of clothes. We look forward to seeing our wonderful WME families at the school celebration!

We will collect canned goods from October 23rd – November 1st. There will be a winning class from K-2 and 3-5, who will receive a hot chocolate treat.

Recycle Your Gallon Plastic Jugs

If you have gallon sized plastic jugs to recycle, please bring them to school and place them in the collection box in the front hallway. A former WME parent would like to use them to make luminaries to sell for Christmas and she will donate all the proceeds back to WME teachers! Make sure to please rinse them with hot soapy water before bringing them in. Thank you!

Date Set For Adult Silent Auction

Save the date of Saturday, February 24th for a night out with other WME parents! We are in the beginning stages of planning but the event will take place at the Lone Tree Arts Center. If you or anyone you know are in the following businesses, we would love to talk with you: catering, table rentals, DJ, casino table rentals, or linen rentals. Also, we will be looking for fabulous items to auction off, both in a silent auction and a live auction. Please contact Autumn Murray or Dana Schmahl  if you can help us!

Calling ALL Box Tops!

Time to start collecting box tops again! Please turn in ALL box tops that expire anytime in 2017 by Wednesday, October 25th so we can meet the deadline to turn them in for $$ for our school. All kids that fill in the box top sheet that came home will get a prize! The top 10 kids for September and October, above and beyond the filled sheet, will receive a goody bag. Please write your child’s name, as well as their teacher’s name, on the paper or baggie before you turn it in. And remember to fully trim each box top from the packaging. THANK YOU for helping to raise money for our school!

King Soopers Cards

Please remember to reload your King Soopers cards. Every time you reload it, WME receives 5% of that amount! When your card has a $0 balance for one month, it will become inactive. If your card has become inactive or you would like to buy a new card, we have $5 cards available in the school office. Bring $5 cash or a check made out to WME PTO. If you have any questions please contact Krista Finney.
