Arctic Adventure Book Fair is Next Week!

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a week long event each year that brings the books kids want to read right into our school! It has a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair next week and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits!

Book Fair Dates and Hours:

MONDAY, Nov. 4th – 7:45 am to 4:15 pm
TUESDAY, Nov. 5th – 7:45 am* to 4:15 pm
WEDNESDAY, Nov. 6th – 7:45 am to 6:30 pm
THURSDAY, Nov. 7th – 7:45 am to 4:15 pm
FRIDAY, Nov. 8th – 7:45 am to 2:00 pm

* Tuesday, November 5th we will have our Pastries with Parents event from 7:45 – 8:20 am sponsored by Kathy Braucher of Realty One Group. Parents are welcome to come with your children to grab a donut, and some coffee in the main hallway then shop the book fair! It will be a fun morning!

New to the Book Fair this year is Scholastic eWallet, an easy way for your child to shop the book fair cash-free! Simply go to the WME eWallet Website and create a free account, then set a spending limit using your credit card. Your child can then use their account to shop during the week just by telling the cashiers their name! Additional information is in the website link above.

If you are unable to attend the fair in person, we invite you to visit our Online Book Fair. The online fair is available through Saturday, November 9th. Share with grandparents, aunts and uncles for great gift giving ideas!! All books will be shipped free to WME after the close of online shopping and can be sent home with students or picked up in the office.

We look forward to seeing you and your family at the Book Fair next week!

Book Fair Volunteers Still Needed

To make the Book Fair a success, we are still needing to fill some volunteer slots during the week to help with cashiering, organizing books, answering questions, etc. It is a really easy and fun job!
If interested and able to help, please use the Sign Up Genius link below to sign up for an open slot. Thank you, we so appreciate your help!

Book Fair Volunteers

All for Books

During the book fair each year, we collect spare change and cash donations for All for Books. Teachers will be collecting in their classrooms until Thursday, November 7th to support All for Books or you may also make a donation directly at the Book Fair when you check out.

With the All for Books money collected, PTO is able to buy books for all WME classrooms and the library. Then Scholastic will match monetary contributions with a donation in books from the Scholastic Possible Fund, which distributes books to children in need!

Our top three donating classes this year will receive 6 books of the teachers choice to add to their classroom libraries for their generosity! We thank you in advance and look forward to giving back to our community!

Used Book Drive

As part of Book Fair week and as you buy new books for your children to read, clean out your old books and bring them to WME to donate! There are collection bins outside the library. We will let our wonderful librarian, Mrs. Stickel, go through them first, then donate the rest to kids in need at Crawford Elementary.

A huge THANK YOU to Kathy Braucher of Realty One Group for sponsoring our Teacher Preview of the Book Fair today after school and providing our teachers with yummy snacks while they browse the books. She is also sponsoring our Pastries with Parents event next Tuesday for us. Kathy is always willing to help out WME and we greatly appreciate our partnership. If you are in the market for a great realtor, please visit her website for more information.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. Connect with more PTO updates on Facebook! Have a wonderful day!
