PTO Newsletter 9/11

We had an amazing Fun Run on Friday! All students worked so hard and had a great time on the field running and walking laps with their friends and teachers. Be sure to follow our Facebook page as we will be posting pictures from the fun run soon. They ran an impressive amount of laps and we are so proud of our Wildcat students! Total Laps Run: 8.590, Total Miles Run: 1,718, Average Laps per Student: 16.4, Average Miles per Student: 3.28.If your student didn’t bring home their run bib from Friday and you would like to know how many laps they ran, please email us. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped throughout the day on Friday to keep the fun run moving! We really couldn’t have done it without parents marking bibs, filling water, handing out popsicles and helping to record laps. PTO Newsletter 9/5

Our 3rd annual Where the Wildcats Run Fun Run is this Friday, September 8th. Packets with donation envelopes went home last week. 100% of the money raised goes directly into our school and classrooms thanks to our amazing sponsors. We will be running “Meet Our Sponsors” blasts over the next two weeks so you can read about each one and how they are connected to WME. Please send your child to school Friday with: comfortable running/walking clothes and shoes a full water bottle * sunscreen on * sunglasses (if they would like them) Parents are welcome and encouraged to come cheer or run with their student(s) during the day. Please stay clear of the start tunnel and finish lanes on the track. While the kids will be working hard running laps, it really is a fun day for the kids to hang with friends and teachers, and we make the day entertaining! Parent Social Night Please join us on the patio at Parry’s Pizza at 5:30 pm tomorrow, August 29th for a Parent Social. Meet and socialize with other WME parents, Mrs. Milley and PTO will give quick updates and you will be able to ask any questions you may have! Appetizers will be provided. This event will take the place of the scheduled PTO General Meeting. We hope to see you there! Our 3rd annual Where the Wildcats Run Fun Run will be Friday, September 8th. Fun Run Schedule and Volunteers

Our 3rd annual Where the Wildcats Run Fun Run will take place on Friday, September 8th. Look for more information to go home in the fun run packets next Wednesday. Each grade will have an hour on the field. The first 5 minutes will be instructions, then they will run/walk for 45 minutes and finish up with popsicles while we record the number of laps for each child. The schedule for the day is: 9:15 am – 10:15 am – Kindergarten 10:15 am – 11:15 am – 1st Grade 11:15 am – 12:15 pm – 3rd Grade 12:45 pm – 1:45 pm – 4th Grade 1:45 pm – 2:45 pm – 5th Grade 2:45 pm- 3:45 pm – 2nd Grade To make the fun run day run smoothly, we are looking for volunteers to help set up, tear down and to take one hour shifts with a specific grade.
